MOO, developed by Pavel Curtis in the early 90s, stands for MUD, Object-Oriented. It’s a pretty cool way to step into programming. We write our code in functions we call ‘verbs’ defined on objects within the database – from within, while the server is running. Breaking things have immediate consequences! We like to say that doing MOO code is like changing the tires on a truck while its speeding down the freeway.
